A MOTHER’S LOVE.

As I read today’s devotional about Good Friday and recounted the story of Jesus’ suffering and death, my heart turned to Mary and the grief she must have felt as her Son hung on the cross. Earlier this week, my sweet four year old daughter Ellie fell and busted her chin wide open. As soon […]

EIGHT IS GREAT.

This girl is my heartbeat. She is my song. She is everything I never knew I needed, and everything I can’t live without. She is compassionate, competitive, creative and courageous. This girl is strong. She is kind. She is bright—so incredibly bright. This girl is adventurous. She is amazing. She is the perfect balance of […]

FABULOUSLY FOUR.

This blue-eyed spitfire with her ringlets of gold has the fierce determination most athletes dream of. She is fully committed to everything she does. When she’s sweet, she’s 100% sweet. And when she’s mad, she’s 100% mad. At times, she is exhausting. And although my coffee may be strong, her opinion is stronger. She knows […]

STEPPING STONES.

Because of this mentality and my tendency to be stubborn, I have a really hard time slowing down and listening to my body.

COMFORT + JOY.

Home. It’s a place where you feel comfortable. Where you can let your guard down and feel at peace with the ones you love. It is often filled with joy and laughter. Even after a rough day, it can bring you cheer. But when you find yourself standing amidst piles of concrete as a jackhammer […]

HIS TIMING IS NO COINCIDENCE.

Last night we celebrated an answered prayer that was two years in the making, and it was a reminder that God’s timing is always perfect.

LUCKY #7.

Happy 7th birthday to my sweet Emma Claire. I don’t know what I did to deserve the gift of being your mama, but I’m so glad God entrusted you to me. I love watching you bloom into who God made her to be! You are more amazing than I could have ever dreamed. The world […]

THREE YEARS OF SUNSHINE.

Oh my sweet Ellie Bug, you bring so much sunshine into our lives! I have no doubt that God made you fierce and full of spunk for a reason.

YOU DO YOU.

When you’re charged with raising tiny humans, you second-guess every decision. But God entrusted these little ones to you, and so you pray for guidance and hope that you’re making the right choice. Sometimes you do, and it feels like a parenting win. And sometimes you don’t, and that’s OK.

DEAR MAMAS WITH NEW KINDERGARTENERS.

Dear Mamas with New Kindergarteners:

It’s time. This date has been circled on the calendar for months. And no matter how much you wished time would slow down, reality stole your summer faster than ever and it is finally here—the first day of kindergarten.

DEAR DADDY, I LOVE YOU.

He is my first love, he is my hero, my rock an my biggest fan. I just hope that I can be the girl he thinks I am.

WHY I BRING MY KIDS TO THE MASTERS.

In a crowd of thousands of patrons at the Masters, I stood out from the rest. I was wearing something that unintentionally drew lots of attention. No, it wasn’t an obnoxiously-patterned pair of Loud Mouth Golf pants. I was donning something that is rarely seen on tournament days — a toddler.

MY WILD CHILD.

Happy birthday to this precious wild child of mine who lives life out loud. She is ridiculously hilarious, full of personality, and a self-proclaimed hot mess. She keeps me on my toes and in fits of laughter as I chase her nonstop.
